ViviLocal Terms and Conditions

Language and Participation

All Vivilocal tours are conducted in Italian and English, unless otherwise specified.

Many activities are naturally carried out in Italian, as they take place within local communities; however, an English-speaking guide will always be available to ensure full participation and understanding for non-Italian speakers.

Guests interested in studying or improving their Italian may request Italian language lessons, available on request at the time of booking. Lessons consist of one hour per day and are offered as an optional additional service.

Trip Price Exclusions

The trip price does not include airfare or transportation to and from the destination. Additional personal expenses such as travel insurance, personal shopping, or meals not mentioned in the itinerary are also excluded.

What’s Included

The price covers all planned activities and admissions as per the itinerary. Meals included in the trip package are clearly noted in the attached itinerary. Transportation during the tour is included and covers travel to and from scheduled activities, excursions, and visits to other towns or locations as specified in the itinerary.

Please note that transportation to and from the destination (e.g., flights or other means of getting to the tour starting point) is not included in the tour price and must be arranged independently by participants.

Deposit and Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable except as required by Australian Consumer Law. The balance of the payment must be made by the due date specified at the time of booking.

It is strongly recommended that you purchase travel insurance that includes trip cancellation for any reason, as ViviLocal cannot provide refunds outside the terms outlined below.

Changes to the Itinerary

While we strive to follow the planned itinerary, we reserve the right to make substitutions or adjustments as necessary due to weather conditions, venue cancellations, guide availability, closures, strikes, or other events beyond our control. In such cases, we will substitute activities or venues of equal or greater value where possible, and participants will be notified as soon as possible.

Please note that the itinerary may be adjusted before the tour begins, depending on the number of participants, to ensure an optimal experience.

Booking & Payment Policy

A deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your participation in the journey.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 90 days prior to the start date of the tour.

Failure to complete payments within the stated deadlines may result in the cancellation of the booking.

Cancellation Policy

• The deposit is non-refundable and will be retained in all cases.
   
• If cancellation occurs between 90 and 60 days prior to the start of the tour, 50% of the balance paid will be refunded.
   
• If cancellation occurs within 60 days of the tour start date, no refund will be issued.
   

We strongly recommend taking out appropriate travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.

In exceptional circumstances, and at our discretion, a refund may be provided where cancellation is beyond your control and in compliance with Australian Consumer Law.

Cancellation by ViviLocal

We reserve the right to cancel the tour if the minimum number of participants (6) is not met. In the event of cancellation by ViviLocal, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including your deposit.

Force Majeure and Unforeseeable Events

ViviLocal will not be liable for any failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or governmental restrictions. In such cases, we will offer participants the option to reschedule the tour.

Travel Insurance

Given the non-refundable nature of the deposit and possible changes in personal circumstances, we strongly advise purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical expenses, and any unforeseen disruptions.

Complaints and Disputes

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us promptly. We will endeavor to resolve any issues amicably.

We are committed to safeguarding your privacy in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Our Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we collect it, how we manage and secure your data, and your rights regarding access and correction of your personal information.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.   

By booking this tour, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
